We’ll be past the crest of the third wave since he took office by the time his administration has done jack to improve the availability of tests and the use of N95 masks. The most deadly variant (Delta) will have come and gone. Most Americans will have some immunity to COVID.I did not say Biden was a savor. You have 100 million people who are not vaccinated. If they are not vaccinated by now they probably never will be. Getting the N95 mask distributed is a good idea. Delta is/was more deadly than Omicron. However, Omnicron is deadly for people who are not vaxed. You're still tied for first as the best amature virologist on eccite.net.
There are still over 100 million citizens who not vaxed. The Omnicron variant is deadly for an a person who is not vaccinated.
Trump was a strong believer in vaccines. And his administration’s Operation Warp Speed (OWS) was a great accomplishment. Pfizer, Moderna and OWS made the vaccines available in record time, saving hundreds of thousands of lives. Trump himself pushed the FDA to approve the vaccines quickly. I don’t believe Biden or Hillary Clinton would have been as aggressive with the FDA.
The OWS/Federal Gov had little to do with the R&D for the vaccine. The work on the M_RNA concept started in 2010. Moderna got 99% of their funding from private sources. Trump did purchased the vaccines before the results of the clinical Trials were announced. He did nothing to control the spread before the vaccines were available. Like you have indicated below.
And Trump, like Biden during much of his first year, didn’t do nearly enough to improve availability of N95 masks and tests. Trump however, unfortunately didn’t really believe N95 masks and frequent testing could help put a big dent in the epidemic.
At least Biden has tried to get more people to take the vaccine.
Biden hasn’t been our great savior from COVID. He doesn’t have a single great accomplishment like Operation Warp Speed you can point to.
The omnicron variant has recently become the dominant strain. With 100 million plus people still not vaccinated, getting the N95 masks distributed is a good idea. Cloth masks don't work for the omnicron variant. Ever go into a Kroger or Walmart? A lot of people use cloth masks.
