As an example, why is hemp illegal? Hemp can do most anything petroleum can, and without pollution. We could make biodegradable disposable plastic. Fuel. You can make all kinds of paper products. No more deforestation. And it is much more quickly renewable than trees. Hemp fiber is incredible. It could replace petroleum based synthetics and cotton. It grows anywhere, and in almost any conditions. So why is it illegal? Ask Big Oil. Big Pharma, Bog Paper and others.

"Hemp" AKA "Loco Weed" was a major cash crop for Kansas during WWII. If it's cancer preventative/remediation properties are what recent studies say they are, we seriously need to lift any restrictions on its production.
