To the OP: So, why does it bother you so much? I sometimes get more from the comments than from the review itself.

I like the rules the way they are. Comments are allowed up to 30 days after the review has been posted. Afterwards, the thread is locked if someone tries to bump an old review. Originally Posted by TinMan

Comments are helpful to hash out important details. I've saved more than I've lost by reading comments, especially after a glowing review that lied by omission or embellished details. Yea some guys are going to use comments when they have an axe to grind, or shill for a provider, but it comes with the territory. Besides, it's a good way to waste time.

9 out of 10 threads in coed would be "In response to xxxxx's review of xxxxx"

If absolutely nothing changes, we all get what we want. Those of us that enjoy the banter back and forth after the review would still get to do so. Those of YOU that find no value in the post-review comments can just...not read them. Problem solved. Now on to more pressing matters like whether or not it's cool to pee on someone.
