Thanks Obama

Guess Boogey men knocked the twin towers down right....You speak of worlds you do not know and probably have never and will never see.... You take your safety and security blanket provided by the soldiers of this nation for granted. Would you rather our nation be like Israel where you have to worry every day if the bus your family member is getting on or the mall they are visiting is going to be bombed... Life is a right yes. No one should take it from you at ANY point. Health Care is not because there is no way to guarantee that there will be the people, resources or knowledge to provide it. If we meld the two than we are just picking who gets to live through care and who doesn't.
Two people are gravely injured. It's possible that if there was enough time and resources I could save both buy, I choose to save the one I think has a better chance. Did I violate the others right to life? Originally Posted by Ceremony

I just returned from Europe where I spend a lot of time on business. Socialized medicine (and European socialized government) is something which I am very familiar with. I'll say it plainly - it doesn't work. Trust me, you don't want to live like Europeans especially when it comes to medical care. This country had a good medical system which needed some fine tuning to make it better before 2009. After President Obama imposed European-type socialist government on us our healthcare system went to hell (along with our economy).

It is especially interesting to travel in Eastern European countries that were formerly communist. Until President Trump was elected the citizens of those countries would tell me they thought we were on a path of self-destruction and trying to become what they fought for 40 years to get rid of.

Just my .02.

The real issue in all this is the cost of medical care. Until we as a country address it, everything will cost too damn much. We rejected one proposal in 1994 and turned everything over to the insurance companies.

And in FACT most of the rest of the 1st world--yes w/gov. run systems -- has better health care and better results.

As far as socialized healthcare in America, that's probably a moot point. That's not likely to happen any time soon. Big Pharma and the insurance companies run healthcare. They have a lot of influence in D.C. They aren't about to give up what they have.
