Question of the day for P411 gents...

My initial contact is usually thru P411, and I look at the showcase, but I've never looked at the add board for specials.

I use P411 exclusively when hobbying. I have learned my lesson regarding Back Page and the disappointing results I have experienced.
As for the ad board, I must admit that 99.9% of the time I forget it is even there. I do my research and then mark them as a favorite for the area where I will be traveling. Maybe I am missing out on some specials so it might be wise to star looking there from time to time.

I thought P411 was only for chat. Who knew there would be ads?
P411 has not been a major factor in my business even for screening, so I can continue to prosper without repeated use of the site. It had a few perks for screening.

I set most of my appointments up in advance...but if I find myself available to play with short notice I absolutely use the P411 ad boards.

I look at P411 ad boards every morning. I like to see who is posting on that day. Often times I see a name of someone I have been following for awhile and it just reminds me I need to make an appointment sooner rather than later. Often I see a name of someone I haven't seen in awhile and, again, moves me to action to correct that. I have also found many new providers there that I might not otherwise have known about. I also occasionally find someone who is running a "special" and it causes me to act the same day to take advantage of that special.

So, yes, I am a big fan of the ad boards.

I was actually checking out the ads before I ran across this thread. So I guess the answer is "yes"

First of all...that's cool that you do what you can to avoid passing along cost to the gents here. I wasn't aware that P411 started charging for local ads. Gotta admit that my first inclination was to assume that the ladies that continue to advertise would be more serious about their businesses. However, after reading the OP's comments, I can see how those that do not pay to post an ad may just be very serious about maintaining the best rates possible. Kudos to you, Grace.

The two things that generally get my attention on P411 are the daily ads and, probably to a greater extent, how close they are to the top of the list (logged on more recently). I usually make contact via P411 and use eccie for research and reviewing.

QUESTIONS:

How much is a single ad in your hometown?

Is it different for traveling ads?

How many "points" does it take to get a week's worth of them? Might be a cool "gift" idea in lieu of a bottle of wine, etc.

Yes, I use ad boards on both P411 and Eccie. Use both places for research also. Some ladies place ads only on one or the other board. Some place ads in both places. Regardless of where the ads are posted, often they are a good indication whether the lady wants to have a date immediately or is just keeping her name out there so guys know she is generally available to make appointments to meet at some time in the near future.

If ads on P4 are no longer free, it is certainly going to have an effect many lady's advertising habits there.

1. A single ad in our home area is $5. In Dallas, its necessary to advertise at least once per day to stay visible.

2. A traveling ad has doubled from $10 to $20. In the past, if you paid for the traveling ad, you got the "home ad" treatment on the ad board and didn't have to pay extra. Now, that is gone. So if I were to go to say, Houston.. it would be $20 for the ad, plus at least $5 per day for the ads on the ad board. I say at least.. because when I tour and work a full 12 hour day, I'll often post twice in the day to keep my ad visible in a high volume city.

3. The point to dollar conversion is 1:1 Gina does offer discounts for bulk purchase of points, but you have to purchase at LEAST $301 at a time to get any discount, and over $1000 to max out the discount (25%).

Grace as a matter of fact I saw your ad Saturday and sent a pm through my p411 handle to schedule but you never replied....I could see the pm had been read too.

So yes, I look at the ad boards on p411 all the time!

For a long time now, when it has been available, I've taken advantage of the P411 ad board. Its quick, convenient, and up until this week was free as long as you were only advertising in your home area.

Now, due to poor behavior by some, Gina has had to begin charging a fee for the service to help cut back on those who just blanket an area with ads.

My question is this-- how many of you use the P411 ad board? It is nearly impossible for me to tell who found me via the ad board and who simply found my profile on P411... with the exception of when I'm running specials (and even then, its not fool-proof). I'm a fairly "budget friendly" provider... having free resources to advertise with has helped me maintain that budget friendliness-- just trying to determine if the ad is worth paying for...

So what say you? Do you use the ad board there? Or simply browse provider profiles? Originally Posted by GracePreston

but in my business I ask new accounts how they found my business. That helps decide what works.

I know some providers use different contact numbers for a specific site to make that same determination.

Hope this helps.

While 95% of my indy sessions are booked through P411, it's basically for ease of screening since I don't expect most providers to remember me well enough to give references without P411 okays. I browse the ads occasionally but don't really use them to set appointments.
