And you thought your commute was tough...

According to the story he walks 8 miles there and 13 going home because Bus service has stopped. Do you think his boss is lying? The reporter? What does not sound right? Originally Posted by WTF

The story I saw was he walks 21 miles each way. That makes it completely impossible. The pictures I saw show him walking in the snow so that adds a whole other element to this story. Believe it if you want. Fuck donate money if it makes you feel better but I think it is bullshit.

When i used to walk everywhere i'd do 14 in around 3 hrs plus or minus without any physical stress

I'd have mental fantasies of dreaming I wished i could invent a machine that would zap me to the top of the dark furthest horizon I could see and then to the next one and so on as the trip was fairly hilly so it's very much more a mental stress thing than physical one

Whether his story is true or not I don't know, but there are a lot of people out there doing a lot of it everyday

im old and have done 3 miles on my treadmill many times under 20 minutes, I have a competitive thing and I just get ever faster. I think the treadmill allows walking like that as opposed to walking outside as you hold on to the arms and pound away on the tread, at least I do

But no matter

He then leaves at 10 pm

By the time he gets home, at 4 a.m., it's almost time to do it again.

So it can be done, you are probably having a hard time believing it because you wouldn't do it. I know I wouldn't!

I don't know why the guy even wants to live the way he does.
It would be far preferable just to get a shitty apartment near his job - he can't possibly have any other life. Of course, what kind of life do those of us who post on this political board have..lol...
