That's what I thought until I looked at Colorado law. Green stuff is more expensive since they can tax it. Originally Posted by johnclark

Maybe dudes wouldnt beat up providers becuase they know they wouldnt be able to get away with it if they were workers protected by law. I never understood the logic of beating up hookers outside of GTA. Even that became pointless.

Actually it would go down. Elimination or reduction of risk factors lowers the price of any commercially available product or service because supply rises. It's why the street cost of drugs go up when supply is constrained and drug related crime rises.

Weirdly, this makes cops are a providers best friend. Originally Posted by SisterTwister

Again, we need to distinguish between decriminalization and legalization. The former would simply remove criminal penalties for consenting adults to engage in sex for money. In such a free market, the risk premium would go away, and the supply would increase because one deterrent was eliminated. The latter would result in government licensing, regulation, inspection, all of which would simply substitute one form of government coercion -- criminal -- with another -- regulatory -- which would adversely affect the price.

I can't think of an instance when a market became truly freer, that is, subject to less aggregate government control, and prices increased as a result.
My wife would give me 200 dollars and tell me to get out of the house and fuck a skinny blond, and for fuck sake come back in a better mood.
