More than 30 advertisers drop Rush Limbaugh

CuteOldGuy's Avatar
That works out to 0.3% of all the radio stations who have dropped him. And I don't think those stations were major markets. But keep the candle of hope alive!
The number keeps reaching toward the sky!

From BT's link:

Meanwhile, a few companies are stepping up to support Limbaugh’s show: SeekingArrangement.com, a company that bills itself “the world’s largest sugar daddy and sugar baby dating website,” announced its decision to start advertising on Limbaugh’s show late Tuesday, while the CEO of Ashley Madison, an online dating service website, said on CNN Wednesday morning that he is “willing to step into the void left by other advertisers.”

JD didn't like the fact that Luis edited out what the quitting Gov from Alaska had to say on the matter.

30 sounds like a large number. Originally Posted by WTF

Suck on that, J.D.!

Advertisers are finally realizing just how stupid Lush Bimbo really is!

I've never heard of this Lush Bimbo...was he on Air America? I hear they lost ALL of their sponsors.
Rush has an ego the size of Dallas. For him to actually apologize he must be feeling the heat. He's a moronic hate monger. I hope he's booted off the air.

30 out of....... 467. Ya I pulled that number out of my ass but it's over 400.

We all agree Rush pooped where he eats, but after the aftermath I've heard tirades from the ubber left that Rush can't even be compared too. He will be fine and will probably bounce back better than before. That's the ebb and flow with commentators. Eventually they say something that gets them in trouble.

You guys are completely forgetting it's the listeners that matter, not the advertisers. Advertisers will advertise where there is an audience. Period. The people that left will probably have to pay a premium to come back to the show... and they will.
I'd give him a few months, after this dies down they will put him back on the payroll
LovingKayla's Avatar
skylar, he IS the payroll. He makes between 30-40 million a year.
I mean the sponsors will returning to advertising on his show after all the hysteria dies down. I have a feeling most of these companies are just backing down so they don't suffer consumer backlash, media in the US has a short attention span so in a few months these sponsors will step back in and if they don't I am sure there will be a line of companies waiting to take their place.

Point being no matter how radical I think his thoughts are I know that he does have an audience who aggrees with him and/or finds him entertaining so he is still valuable in the advertising world no matter what he comes up with.

Exactly. You know Sky, I just keep falling more in love with you every post you make.

The local advertisers are marketed through the local station.....not through Rush. The local stations have a waiting list trying to put ads in that slot.....they lost nothing......they probably raised the rate.

If Rush lost a national advertiser ( I don't know if he did....I don't care enough to look) he would be able to replace it the next day.

You retards who thinck this means anything crack me up.

In all seriousness are their actually people who think this man is truly worth listening to? I'm not in any way a supporter of conservative politics but I'd at least listen to those on the right wing that talk sense. This man continually talks rubbish.

Waste of time in my opinion.......unless I am fucking with a fucktard liberal.
