This wasn't a mass shooter, it was a terrorist attack. But the reality is that statistics show that Mass shootings are not anymore common than 40 years ago, rather the ability to get the information out there due to the 24hour news cycle makes them seem more common.

That being said more guns are probably not the answer in most cases, but in this case, your talking about trained and professional soldiers. Before anyone can post pictures and details of the victim they first have to be identified and then they have to contact the family and ask for permission. Plus the police will not release information on the victims until they have contacted the families. That is why it always takes longer for information of the victims to come out.
