agencies or indys???

I've been involved with a few over the years and your comment is a typical female/Indy Provider way of looking at things.

Agencies may not own the "girl" but they may very well have a claim to owning the "character" and images the created FOR the girl.....

Agencies build their own reputations and market themselves and hire girls to provide services...... The girls earn a percentage but they are not "paying" the agencies....

And in some markets agencies are respected by the community and own the "images" they create for ladies...

i.e. "Angie" is the new flavor of the month and AAAMazing and after 2 months decides to go Indy after being "made" by the stellar reputation AAAmazing has. On her own she would not have had a clue.....

When she tries to go Indy she is booted by from the board for 3 months when she uses pics the Agency posted or refers to who she was...as the board offers the Agencies some level of protection for the images and names they create..... Originally Posted by Whispers

If a new provider with no experience is in dire situation, and an agency find her, pays for a photo shoot, shows her the way, hosts her in their incall, advertises her, then within the first month, she has enough money to get her own incall, does she owe the agency anything?

If you replace provider above with model, then there would be a contract before the agency invested money on her. Being in an industry where such contracts would be...less than enforceable, what are the options left to the agency?

Does the board really have a policy of protecting the agency's interest by barring her from being active for any amount of time?

Now just FYI...I never worked as an agency girl, I just answered yall phone calls when you called to set an appointment

But either way there are bad agencies just like there are bad independents. It really just all boils down to doing your research.
