Drone vrs. Hooker: Drone wins

That is unknown but it was a misdemeanor in a municipal court so they would not want to write a check for her incarceration so I doubt it. They certainly had the right to do so. I am sure that the sentence was what it was because they could run it concurrently with the felony conviction and that the deal was made by counsel, plus the sentence would make no difference to either the city or the hooker. They just wanted her off their streets which they got either way.

Yes Public Defenders are paid by the case in most areas so plea agreements are probably being pushed by PDers instead of discovery and court appearances, I know Austin pays by the billing hour but from what I have learned have one of the best systems in the country because attorneys get paid for their time.

So, she didn't go to prison for public lewdness, but rather for the felony charges? The misdemeanor was just attached as an afterthought?

If it was the only charge and the others weren't already active, she wouldn't have gotten prison time? Originally Posted by MaxiMilyen

Thank you RandB fan. I've met people who have had misdemeanor charges, and it seemed some places were extremely over zealous and literally took control of people's lives, while some just tossed similar misdemeanor charges to the wayside as if it didn't happen. From what I was able to learn from these folks, it didn't even seem to matter if previous charges were also an issue. I can only assume this occurs due to a specific court's "mindset", what the lawyer is willing to do if a public defender, whether elections are around the corner, etc. It seems there are too many factors which are not the actual law that was broken, which must be taken into account.

Again, thanks.

someone needs to find him out with his equipment and destroy all of his equipment on the spot and tell him go buy some more and we'll do it all over again whenever he's ready.. He cant afford equipment like the television stations use but he cant continue to buy equipment when people destroy his equipment
One charge is a misdemeanor. 3 misdemeanor become felony.I wish prostitution was LEGAL all states. All levels escorts couldn't run away business from others states and cities.Escorts couldn't run away business from websites.Prostitution illegal all states.
