thanks bro, let me just add that planet of the apes was a huge turd-fest too. A lot of these movies are complete shite. I don't have great expectations for the next comic movie coming out this weekend either....
Yes VS was kidding. Stoic is alive and well and none of that ever happened...

<<<< still stuck in the denial stage of grief.

Pfft... spoilers.

I suppose next you are gonna tell us that Kevin Spacey is Kaiser Soze, Darth is Luke's father, and Professor Plum did it in the Conservatory with the Lead Pipe.
Well, I hate to much hear so many hated this flick (haven't seen it yet....planned to catch it this coming weekend). The trailers looked interesting and Scarlett, well, she is truly a gem....anyway, what a shame.

I did (finally) end up catching Cruise's most recent movie (Edge of Tomorrow) and found it very entertaining. Yes, no doubt it was a sci-fi based Groundhog Day but it kept me interested to the very end (even if you had the finale figured out waaaay in advance).

Lucy....not even once.
I can't even come up with the words to accurately describe this movie. I think it has a paralyzing effect leaving the audience conscious but unable to escape the mind numbing sequences on screen. When the credits finally begin to roll your body has no chance for fight, the only option instinctively is flight and fast! Your brain is now functioning solely on animal survival instinct as you dart past the weaker co-victims also seeking refuge. By the time you make it to the parking lot the inner workings of your consciences begin to return. As you realize you survived a state of euphoria kicks in followed by fits of uncontrollable laughter as others survives recall the ordeal through snippets of the dialogue. Enjoy the euphoria while it last.

In the next 10 minutes will come;
Denial: that didn't really just happen..I had a flashback or something..right???
Anger: Im gonna kick that Morgan Freeman's ass
Bargaining: ok Hollywood i did that for you, now you owe me!! right???
Depression: Stupid! Stupid! Stupid! If this ever got out...oh man game over..
Acceptance: You know what, you made it and that has to count for something. Originally Posted by bored@home

Not sure if trolling or not...for me the shite factor was: story, cut scenes, acting, cgi...in summation I can't think of any redeeming quality. In fact I would still feel ripped off if it was a free bootleg. I am still screaming FREEMAN at the heavens (Kirk / Kahn). This monster lulled me into a false sense security with his presence then he and his compadres gleefully raped my brain.

Are you including the previews as part of the whole? If so then i kind of agree the first 15 minutes of previews as being ok.
Did she charge extra for the torture or was that includec as part of the package Originally Posted by bored@home

Also no preconceived expectations at all on the movie, it was what was playing when we arrived.

Wink wink nudge nudge, I feel you. Yes everyone please go see the film. Be sure to write down where you were and what time so you can accurately relay the details to the grand babies.

It was summer entertainment style, not deep thought style, and if you're ok with that, it was ok. Not like 'Contact' (a fav) or Trainspotting, but a hell of a lot better than any of the other summer fare right now.

Well said, Kong......Marvel Rawks.

And Afflack (while he has a hot wife) totally blows. He needs to give up the super hero character idea and stick with scripts that he can actually pull off.

GOTG will be EPIC!!! Also Avenger AOU. Batman vs. Superman will be complete and utter trash, minimally redeemable by Jessie Eisenburg as Lex Luthor. Reviews looking mixed on GOTG. Even though I like Chris Pratt, might have to hold off on seeing it. Still waiting for next avengers flick. Robert Downey Jr and Tom Hiddleston absolutely made that flick.
