Every day that I walk into the building where I spend most of my time, I walk past a big sign that says, in very big letters, TITLE IX IS NOT OPTIONAL, IT'S THE LAW. Future colleges you might apply at will no doubt contact this one for references and information. Good chance the reasons for your dismissal will be fair game for inclusion. There are risks for the college in situations like this and if I were the head of a school no way I would hire someone if there was even a hint they would take risks along these lines. Title IX violations can involve serious money and sanctions.
