A review or that comment doesn't count.

We ate at Wyandotte. I had ribs and brisket. The ribs dripped with grease when you picked them up. I couldn't tell on the brisket because the grease from the ribs was all over it. One of the worst I have ever had. Possibly a one off but I've only had decent BBQ once in KC in the more than a dozen times I have been there. The hamburger was decent but the bottom bun was greasy so it was removed.
If it is pasta you want and done Fine Dining then Farina is the Place with Local James Beard winner Michael Smith.

So yeah not a good example
LC's. Burnt ends.
Had some great BBQ while surveying pipelines in Texas many years ago. Nice little roadside places.
Have had great BBQ in KC.
Used to get Carolina style when I was in Chapel Hill many years ago.
Though I mostly do my own nowadays.

Amusing that Texas teams are mentioned

Memphis style sweet, love it. Carolina with the vinegar base, love it. Texas dry rub, love it. And of course here at home is my favorite. I just love variety.
My favorite I had in Texas was Hard Eight. Good stuff!

I didn't pick the place. It's where the people I were with wanted to go.

Next time a few of us will take you a decent place, and stick you for the tab.

Well this certainly isn't the only place I've been to ad I've been to KC a dozen or so times. And yes I've had some decent BBQ there in KC but nothing spectacular my any means.

If you like coffee or tea, there are a lot of choices; some great and some just ok - just like BBQ.

It was not a good judgement to list Wyandotte BBQ as an example of BBQ in KC. There a lot of choices, and having a greasy or dry hard BBQ is not the best choice.

Q39 is also dry and quickly cooked and should not be compared with the better places to pick up BBQ. The Best BBQ places in KC is great. Texas also has good BBQ, but the worst Texas BBQ is just OK and not worth talking about: just like Wyandotte BBQ.

As I stated it was not my choice and it was the first time I had been there. I've been to several different places in KC over the last few years and I have yet to be impressed.
