I never heard of those attacks during obama's election. Originally Posted by garhkal2008 was a loooong time ago to remember details. Let's not argue which were worse or which were more appropriate. People protested the election of Trump. People protested the election of Obama.
The highlighted section of the long article is to me the most important part. Most Democrats do not share the viewpoint of Tom Steyer. Trump is not guilty of anything that would lead to impeachment. Bill Clinton was. Might something come out in the future that will be an impeachable offense by Trump? Possibly.
Media Dreams of Impeachment While Congressional Democrats Shy Away
The leader of this impeachment frenzy is none other than billionaire Tom Steyer. Tom has nothing to lose. He’s putting up $120 million of his money to get the job done, but will most Democrat’s hold the torches and rope for him? No way.

A while ago a friend of a Facebook friend posted that he thought Obama should be impeached. When I asked him on what charges, he said "treason". I came back and asked what Obama had done that would be considered treasonous and the silence was deafening.
My preference is that Trump runs in 2020 and is beaten. Originally Posted by SpeedRacerXXX

It seems legal scholars believe that an "impeachable offense" must be committed while the President is in office. That "concept" makes common sense, because the voters already decided he should be President and the electoral college did also.Bill Clinton committed perjury.
I'm not sure what Bill Clinton did that was an "impeachable offense." Originally Posted by LexusLover

In my opinion, which I've stated often, the November elections will go a long way to telling people in this country how well voters think Trump is doing as leader of the nation. If Republicans maintain control of the House it will show that the Trump base continues to support him strongly and enough Independents do also. Trump will be able to proceed full speed ahead with his agenda. If Democrats win back control of the House, and especially if they win it back by a considerable margin, Republicans are going to start searching for answers for 2020. Trump's agenda will be stalled. But I see other issues with his performance as POTUS and with his character that will sway voters in the other direction.
