Yeah, between the Tea Party and the rabid GOPers, it sucked big time. Originally Posted by charlestudor2005

@Mokoa: I just loved this rotfl, so I thought I'd copy it. Hope you don't mind.
There sure are a lot of people on this board tonight. I guess a lot of us have no parties or dates, and wind up spending the time with our friends on this board.

It's about to turn 2011 where I am. Happy New Year to everyone. To those on EST, I hope you had a good one!

Happy New Year/Hogmanay to all! (Sorry, I'm Scottish)!
2010 blew in the worst way and 2011 cannot possibly be worse.

I'm not sure the gloom over 2010 expressed here is largely personal, financial, political, a little of each...who knows...

For me as I reflect, 2010 was a year where I lost several people very dear to me. People that died way too soon. Then, just when I'm thinking what kind of a miserable SOB God is to take these people from my life, I'm blessed with other people entering my life: new family members, new relationships.

I've also realized, as I get older (& yes I know some of you have gym shorts older than me), you find some special relationships in some of the most unexpected of places & the key to it is being open to them.
What the hell, I'll put it here:

Happy New Year everybody. Regardless of 2010 year’s curses or successes, with the New Year comes the future.
