You get a provider pregnant now what??????????

OMG!!!!!!! Times ten

Checking my birth control, yep still in place. Checking condom stock, yep still there.

Sometimes the man upstairs has a wicked sense of humor. Birth control fails and condoms can and will break. If that happen to me (crossing my fingers it doesn't). Knocking on wood.

Honestly i would not say a word, and i may get flamed, but this is my opinion. I would abort the child. What if the guy is married, has a family of his own. I can not imagine him telling his wife and kids, "guess what, you guys have a little bro or sis, whoops by an escort". Not to mention the personal mental beating i would put myself through, even though it was accident. Going home to visit the folks and the folks asking who is the father and where and when did i have a child (since i don't have any now) ........awkward holiday dinner.

If the lady plans to have the child, or if she plans to put the child up for adoption, then it is her call if she wants to let me know.

If the lady plays to terminate the pregnancy, then I would rather not know.

This hypothetical situation is circumstantial since so many factors come into play.

rekcaSxT, you listen to Jim Rome? He plays that sample all the time.

On the plus side, maybe someday soon there will be a way for dudes to alleviate the risk of this sort of scenario.

Ben there done that. Provider didn't want a kid, nor did Jay. We went to the doctor together ,and then spent a few days together. It wasn't fun but it turned out OK. Lot's of hugs and mutual support.... A OK ending for us.

Interesting thread...after reading it a few times I've thought about getting a vasectomy. I don't have biological children, just never wanted kids...so I thought I'd read up on spontaneous vasectomy reversal. Surprisingly, the odds of that happening are low but they do happen.

Perhaps one of the worst possible outcomes of a vasectomy is a spontaneous reversal, resulting in a surprise restoration of fertility even after you have been declared "all clear." This is extraordinarily rare - figures quoted are usually 1 in 2000 to 1 in 4000 or higher. These are the incidence of recanalising - figures for pregnancy occurring after the "all clear" are rather lower risk, and confounded by the fact that those getting pregnant after vasectomy rarely prove patency with DNA sampling. If recanalisation is of concern to you, you may wish to discuss providing routine semen samples with your doctor.
sounds to me like the odds get even less of fathering a child after having a vasectomy...interesting
