I did the complete Racket n Pinion set replace. Control arms and tire rods too. Complete front end. The bushings were strut mount bushings I replaced. . I need tire rod bushings also but that's later. I was too tired and frustrated to mess with it. All my routers.. All 4 of them. That's easy work. Brakes are easy too.
I do know how to fix cars. And if I have the time I will. And I have a friend who owns a shop in Pasadena, so he's always a phone call away if I need help. Hes my cousin so that helps. Plus I use his tools to do all my work.

Fixing your car is one of the few things left you can do yourself, and one of the few things you can really save thousands of dollars per year. I just saved about 2k doing this recent parts install. And it is not that hard if you have assembled the needed tools. It is actually fun, but I wouldn't want to work on other people's cars for a living, that can be very hard work. Go home exhausted and fall into bed after a cold one.

I like to work on my car at my own pace, not hurry when doing it. If you get stuck, then no problem, go away and come back later. Especially when you run into an unexpected problem or stuck bolt. It's useful if you can plan not to need your car soon.

The thing this time is the security guard is so obnoxious. He is new, and tries to run the place. he bothers the residents more than he watches out for security. It is almost like living in a prison camp with a prison guard (at least that is what it feels like).

I get along well with most everybody, and have managed to keep my mouth shut so far. I just told him nobody cares, but I wanted to say a lot more.

I agree with you sir, sometimes working on your own car is a necessity and therapeutic. You should not have to conceal your work ability in the wee hours like it is a crime. It just shows that the complaining tenants lack mechanical skills and probably get their wallets lighten at car repair shops. Agreed! Alexis may need a slight alignment adjustment with her spelling and nomenclature of automobile parts, but I'm impressed with her willingness to get her nails covered lithium base luberciants. She clearly knows more about vehicles than most females, and good for her she had teachers. Furthermore a skilled woman like herself, perhaps would apply her knowledge to proper adjust the wet torque value while working on stick shifts. That is always important when concerned about blowing a rod under high pressures and heat stress. I may need to try her out on my next pit stop, just to see her displacement under the hood inspecting crankshaft for end play, and checking her ring and pinion backlash and shim it up for hard launches. I'll bring the posi track 80w90 gl5 gear oil to ease things along and reduce friction. Of course the go jo with citrus for the clean up. Now that would be a good review to read about.

I've been telling people for years to invest in run flats. Those things have saved my ass countless times.

Finished up this morning. Again started at 5 am to avoid the security guard, but it is getting so hot, it's good to start early. According to the car repair guides, I saved about 2k, and the car should be in good shape until the next time 3 or 4 years from now. Well worth it, and nice to have all the tools, collected over several years.
