I was sitting in the US Navy's Nuclear Power School when Three Mile Island happened. We laughed at the absolute ignorance of the reporters and got angry when they lied about things. Newsweek reported that one employee recieved over 3,000 mrems of radiation exposure. Understand that? 3,000 millirems is 3 rems and how much exposure does it take to show up in blood work? Over 50 rems. So a neglible dose became a life effecting event to Newsweek.
