Perhaps I should have put things more tactfully. I apologize to L2P for coming off as an anal-retentive English teacher in a bad mood.

However, the way the original post was written could have been construed as L2P calling CK out for trolling her. The WHY was immaterial, as the post wasn't actually directed at CK at all, but at trolls in general and apparently someone else L2P is having a problem with.

Shine, I was trying to make 2 points:

1. Posters have to be careful with what they write and how they write it so as not to be misinterpreted. Clear communication is essential to avoid misunderstandings.

2. Discussions can easily erupt into acrimonious arguments that go ballistic when accusations fly, and whether they are true or not doesn't matter to many readers. The drama, right or wrong, can have residual repercussions.

I wasn't addressing ANY other issues, and if someone has a strong opinion about ECCIE goings on, they are definitely free to express it. Silence rarely creates progress. Just think before typing, is all.

Shine, as far as it goes, I believe CK's intent was well-meant, and considering she wasn't stealing or revealing secrets, she took an awful lot of heat. Was that fair or deserved?

She was spending her own time and effort rounding up contact data from Showcases, ads, the thread to drop into one compilation to make future communications more expedient and convenient between members in case ECCIE went dark, data freely given and not forced out of anyone, not especially benefiting any one provider or client, and not requiring attention from the powers-that-be since it was a voluntary precaution. Collected public contacts by themselves, distributed among acquaintances by request, won't circumvent ANY aspect of the pending law that I'm aware of, nor will screen names identity anyone. Doesn't seem much different from the purpose of the Escort-Client Community Information Exchange itself, but on a minute private scale, minus public discussion forums and without the controversial advertising/solicitation that WILL be against the new regulation.

Project abandoned, so never mind further speculation. You're right; let's leave it alone.

Everyone has a theory on how an experiment should be conducted and the results it should produce. Not all procedures go as intended, especially with multiple and changing variables involved. ECCIE is sometimes an overblown chemical reaction.

Fancy, I think everyone is a little in edge lately. Rightly so, after all, all this stuff has made me come out of the shadows of P411 and join the party.

I read L2P's post and understood it as she intended, simply because I couldn't fathom she had a problem with CK. You read it more literally. Then I questioned it myself.

But you're right to have asked her about it, as I did as well. In the end...no harm no foul. Crisis averted.

But I think we can all use a deep breath in these troubling times and try to give each other the benefit of the doubt wherever possible. Though, I will admit, it's not easy for me with some guys talking about how happy they are that ladies will be forced on the street and with lower rates. Despicable.
