This site really exploits? my weaknesses.....food and woman.

Not always in that order, but I do enjoy the taste of both.

you can order real chicago deep dish from Lou Malnati's out of Chicago and they'll ship overnight on dry ice. They're about 100 for 4 pies, and they only do 1-2 toppings, but the taste, even if they're not fresh, is absolutely amazing. The crust, cheese and sauce is nothing like any pizza place in Houston has.

I will never forget my first deep dish Chicago pizza: at Giordano's in Lincoln Park, a delicious garlicky spinach stuffed pizza. Almost a full inch thick. One of the true turning points in life, when you realize that what you thought was pizza was not even close.

Lou Malnati's, Gino's East, Giordano's. All fantastic. I am sure there are a few others.

Uno's certainly never translated when they tried to take it nationwide. I guess it ain't really Chicago pizza unless you eat it in Chicago.

I found a place that gets it right. After trying many places, some came close others completely missed the mark.
But this place got it right. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sour...JaaZA8TGPAl7vA

You should check out Chi-town's "Gino's" in the Woodlands. It is fairly new.

Best pizza city?!?!!! Detroit!! You can get Chicago-style, thick deep crust, cheese, toppings and sauce on top. Good bread-dough depends upon really good water quality, Detroit will get you the best dough and authentic pie made like whatever city you desire. Mmmmm pizza...
