I've just figured out why I like perusing Backpage escorts

But the other scenario you offer is WAY unlikely. What kind of an asshole gets on Eccie to look for girls, then decides to take up the mantle of modesty and propriety to report her? I'm not buying it. Originally Posted by 3daygetaway

Back in the day, privacy and discretion were held in the highest regard in the hobby. Sure, there were always those idiots who didn't value such. But on the whole, it was the unspoken/unwritten hobby rule; keep your fuckin' mouth shut. Nowadays, we have folks on both sides of the spectrum talking too damn much, outing him or outing her, discussing business they shouldn't, revealing rw info, etc.

So in answer to why don't many providers post face pics of themselves? Well, that's pretty obvious, isn't it? Under the right circumstances (or wrong ones), the end result could lead to lives literally being turned upside down, households ruined, kids compromised, and life as they once knew it evaporated. I think sometimes people lose sight of the fact of just how fucked up, potentially dangerous, and downright sketchy this thing we call the hobby can potentially be for any one of us.

Sure, the hobby is fun. But in that same breath, it can also wreak some serious havoc on someone if they lose sight of this rather unique playground and all its characters.

I think ms. V post was about most if us wanting discretion and anonimity. Esp. from those outside this world.
You use that rule as an " if only it was allowed" excuse, when in reality. Even if the rule wasnt there 90% of us still wouldnt show our faces Originally Posted by knotty man

But all that transaction requires is my address and my money...just like this one.

I get that most men want the discretion. The privacy issue is not lost on me. I just don't think the privacy for providers argument makes good sense.

Of course, that's the worst case scenario. And if we have teachers, they know they have an ethical clause in their contracts and/or license. No problem, they SHOULD hide their faces.

I for one am practically quivering in anticipation!!! (rubs fingertips together)
It's a very active reality for providers, all kinds.

If outing is a bigger deal than I've thought, forgive my ignorance and disbelief. I'm sorry that's happened to some of you.

You should hire Deadpool to threaten him into submission. Or a PI to investigate and get some dirt on him. Expose him. Two can play the extortion game, right?

It's been years since I used a site like Backpage to schedule a date with a provider. One of the main reasons I was glad to find sites like Eccie and P411 is because most of the women here are legitimate and reliable. When I used sites like Backpage, there were so many fake pictures, bait and switches and general bullshit, that I was thrilled to leave it behind. Backpage is like a junior high version of escort sites.

Legitimate privacy corncerns aside (haven't you heard of reverse image search or facial recognition technology?), I'd much rather watch a quality film with fantastic reviews in a nice theater than rent a Redbox DVD because it has an exciting dustjacket.
