Strange. EVERY time i've gone to vote on election day, i've barely seen more than a dozen people in line to vote.. So where are these "long lines" i keep hearing folk mention? Originally Posted by garhkal

I think the most famous cemetery was in Zavala County.

And here's an anecdotal tale of the Democratic Party "in the day"!

Yssup. IF they are illegally in the country, how are they legally authorized to vote? Originally Posted by garhkal

And of course you have proof of that RIGHT?

My question is WHY do they need a special election for a seat in a body that is not going to meet until next year anyway? There really is no need to have a special election, imo, unless law requires it. I'm pretty sure that "HEY ABBOT" is not going to call a special session of the legislature, especially since this particular individual is a democrat.

I'm hoping it gets declared unconstitutional.

I don’t think non-citizens should be allowed to vote. Of course, citizenship should be able to be defined by the governmental entity in question. I’d think all “states rights” supporters would agree with that,

non-citizens voting in local and federal elections.

its not a big deal. that was common before early 1900s. When people noticed this and started criticizing the process in both local and federal elections.
