You take your chances waiting until election day (November 6th this year). With early voting there is rarely a waiting line. Depending on your voting district and the time you go to vote, lines on election day can be extremely long -- sometimes hours long.

My question is WHY do they need a special election for a seat in a body that is not going to meet until next year anyway? There really is no need to have a special election, imo, unless law requires it. I'm pretty sure that "HEY ABBOT" is not going to call a special session of the legislature, especially since this particular individual is a democrat.

I don’t think non-citizens should be allowed to vote. Of course, citizenship should be able to be defined by the governmental entity in question. I’d think all “states rights” supporters would agree with that,

It’s a constitutional requirement. And the Legislature meets in session once every two years, but there are interim charges that require attention as well.
