do you support healthcare for illegal aliens?

I voted no. But I support it in California.
Many rich foreigners come to Houston for some of the best medical care on the planet. They pay for it. The way the question is asked in the Democratic debates expresses free health care for illegal immigrants. That's the spirit I took the poll question.

SR - thank You.
AnyOne presenting at an ER must be evaluated - by law.

AnyOne in this country who wishes to see a physician = and can pay for the service - is able to do so - regardless of immigration status. I am fine with that.

I object to Benefits for illegal immigrants funded by taxpayers and not available to those same taxpayers. Originally Posted by oeb11

I have to agree, the choices are flawed. We should provide crisis care to save a life including unborn children but rehab, gender reassignment, liposuction, rhinoplasty, dermatology....They're on their own.

Dermatologists treat a lot of skin cancer.
Elective cosmetic surgery should be the financial responsibility of the consumer. Agreed.

yr-Doesn't work that way, but do you REALLY want to leave a decision like this up to a POPULAR VOTE?

Correct - DPST's know much better about the course of the nation than does the Electorate.
Bernie and Warren know what is best for the nation - no reason to have elections
Right yr.

TWK - consider clarifying the issue - "Free" government taxpayer paid health care for all Illegal Immigrants.

A freebie that elevates illegals above voting, tax-paying citizens.

I would Vote No.
US owes nothing to the citizens of another country.

If bleeding heart Liberals want to "Help Others" - (read - control by purse strings) - let them do so out of their own pockets. Originally Posted by oeb11

I agree totally with OEB. Originally Posted by SpeedRacerXXX

On the night i saw the questions asked, all 10 candidates raised their hands. can't say on the second night but i'd guess all did also.

i phrased it as it was phrased in the Debates on purpose. thinking back on it, i should not have given the "Unsure" option. Democrats didn't.

Come on Waco,

Do you really want to say the Dims made you do it?
Of course the original Dim question was a set up.

He didn't. he's selling out his ass.

A few years ago i think Biden would not have supported this but he spent 8 years with his nose up Obama's socialist ass smelling his shit. Biden is the front runner. I think he went along to keep his lead. He should have appealed to the majority of Democrats who don't support all this "Free shit for All" crap.

If Biden would resist this far left move and be more moderate he'd stand a better chance against Trump. His left shift will hurt him badly. And as Chung Tran says and i agree Trump will crush this buffoon in a debate. He's not the brightest bulb in the light bulb factory. Say what you will about Trump, he's by far quicker on his feet under a live debate format than almost all of the Democratic candidates. the few that could like Gabbard or Hickenlooper are not likely to make the stage.

I didn't vote because of the way the question is worded but I will happily state my position very clearly here.

I support access to healthcare for anyone and everyone. What I don't support is US Taxpayers paying for the healthcare of non-citizens. They should pay for their own healthcare. If they can't afford it, then they should be given emergency medical care only and then deported. I admire those that want to come here to work but there is a legal process they need to go through.

I am also not opposed to those here illegally (who are not criminals and can support themselves and their families) being offered a one-time chance to sign up for a work permit that allows them to stay on certain conditions (only because our lack of immigration enforcement essentially invited them to come here illegally) but......they should not be given citizenship unless they go back to their home country and go through the correct legal process to do so. I really don't know why something like this would even be controversial at all.
