This myth results from past law, and misunderstandings of past law being passed along. In virtually all cases, photo copyright is valid whether or not there is a copyright notice.

I'll email St Chris and see if that is the stance he is going to take on this, because i can see you have made up your mind on the matter.
It would seem that some of your activity is dangerously close to stepping over the line of posting guideline #17.
