Does everyone know they won't remove your profile even if you are outed or your wife or husband objects?

There is no perfect site. Having said that, I have found this one is significantly more accomodating than most the others I know.

The comments about TER are definately not always the case--I know specific ladies who retired and asked their info to be removed and it has not been.

It's standard practice in this industry to remove profiles when there is a request or retirement. It never occurred to me that there would be a board that would not have this. Since it is common industry practice, I am pretty sure that most people and providers don't realize what they are getting into at all.

And Skylar, I feel bad for you that you have such a lack of business you need to make a pointless hypocritical comment on this thread. I don't like to be nasty, but I can't imagine that a desperate provider with no other options and nothing and noonen else to care about in her life-as evidenced by your response- is atttracted. But as I said, some people have no other options. I'm sorry for you, but don't hurt others in your desperation.

My response is going to make a complete nuisance of myself and educate everyone as to this policy. Because I do care about my life and a bunch of strangers is not going to have control of my private life without my consent. But I don't care about doing BBQ's in order to get a long list of great reviews like some girls do, not all of them. the Mods are corrupt and you gotta figure out the game. Threaten to sue them in court like Katie and all your info dissapears like the Govt files.

Don't believe me, do a search on Google for certain names of providers, ones that are a bit different, not run of the mill. Better yet, do a search on Google images and see what pops up. There is a certain young lady in DFW area who a search of images of her will pop up an image of her from about 7 years ago. Hair color is different, she weighs 20 pounds less. (She was cute then, she is cute now.) But that image of her is still available with a little searching.

A relative of mine did a search on my real name. My picture had appeared in a trade magazine when I attended an event about a year before she did the search. She emailed me a link to the pic. It was a bit discomforting to know that I was that 'public' a figure.

A good reason to choose a handle name that is popular. Tigercat is actually a name given to several military planes as well as bulldozer. Searches on it get millions of hits. Search Tigercat & hobby and you get pictures of model airplanes. Same for Tigercat and escort, as the plane was used to escort bombers on their missions. Did I know this when I made that fateful selection back in 2004 or 2005? Hell no, but I am forever grateful for my luck.

I am always shocked at how much certain people reveal about themselves on here. If someone gave a rat's ass, there are several guys whose real name could be figured out. Ladies, probably much worse. Especially if you are a registered person such as a massage therapist or nurse.

There ought to be a required lesson on handle selection and posting smarts before anyone joins one of the silly little whore boards. (And I use that term whore as a term of endearment, not a derogatory term.)

One of the mods may chime in with the real skinny, but I have seen them:
- "Guest" your account, so that your handle no longer appears on any of your posts or profile
- Hide all of your reviews (or more precisely, I think, move them to an area only ECCIE staff has access to). This is a manual process the mods have to undertake. Originally Posted by Fratelli

Um.. no they won't do this. Even if it's policy, and I've asked for it before, it doesn't get done. They say they cannot hide/delete all of that info. They will disable your account. All other information is left there. Yes, you can delete all your pics, contact info, etc. But your handle is left there and all reviews. But, I have seen it a few times on here, but they will only do all of that for a select few.
