Angler, that's because UT has a bunch of t-shirt fans that never went to school there. Comes with past success at all the major schools.

Funny how the top ranked schools like Yale, Harvard, Stanford, Berkeley, Harvard, University of Chicago and so on have no emphasis on their sports teams. But when you get to the shitty schools it's all about the rah rah hoorah of the team. When I went to UT sports wasn't that important and everyone there wanted the school be be thought of for academic achievement but now it's about the fucking teams. I'm not sure I would agree with lumping Stanford in that mix of not caring about sports. Maybe not to the degree of UT, etc. They are able to mix high academic standards as well as put out top ranked teams year in and year out.

I guess Duke would also be another high academic standard/high sports performance school. Their football team use to be a joke and are now highly competitive and making bowl games.
