I can think of one reason, Schiff doesn't want Atkinson explaining what he meant when he said the WB, Ciaramella had bias. What was that bias? That he formally worked for Biden? He made comments that he thought Trump should be impeached long before this phone call and of course who told the WB about the phone call. Schiff doesn't want any of that in the trial record.
