If rules were always enforced to the 't', there would be bans/infractions all over in every thread just about (generally speaking for message boards not just this one). Aside from the time factor, that just doesn't make for a 'good' forum. You need a bit of maliability. "... is more of what you'd call 'guidelines' than actual rules." from Pirates of the Caribbean comes to mind when thinking about this. You let people slide or bend the rules within reason up until a point. You can fall back to the letter of the law when showing why a ban period or length is warranted. Showing just how many times they actually violated a rule and leeway was given.

Should a poster with a flawless history posting a troll topic be given the same punishment as someone who's last 10 topics have been bait for trolling/conflict? While the violation may be the same, the circumstances may vary and lead to a different course of action. Should that mean parties are treated different? Maybe, maybe not. It's for the ruling body to decide what's best and how to handle situations as the arise.

All that said, the nature of the original post seems like you're wanting people to talk at you as if to be waiting for conflict rather than discuss things with you to understand each others point of view.
Bridgette Black was a handle that posted right after you and your buddy last were banned last time. It was a cheap imitation of bitchtits and I tweeted about it bc I found it amusing. Not outting. It's a handle not a name.

Damn! that is provider #2 THN has outed (many more to come) and the morning is not over yet! This one is not hear say, as it is on THN's twitter page, but makes the previous one look more valid. Report that to the mods Originally Posted by davidfree986

Keep in mind this is not twitter. The mods here are not the hobby police. They moderate posts here, not on twitter or any where else. The board has become much more lenient on applying the guidelines. If that is good or bad is up to you to decide.

And, David, THN does not have to out you. Everyone who cares already knows your past handles and history.

How is it that i have spotted at the thread i last posted AT LEAST 12 posts that have clearly violated at least one of the rules in the TOS and a moderator actually posted on it breaking on of the rules him self??

* Note, I think any infractions should be made public simply so that others see what behavior is expected of them. the "private admonishments" do little to guide the posting members behavior since they "think" others are getting away with breaking the rules.
