Still think this is about your health an not compliance?

So Dr. O'Fallon is a Democrat?

Just because it seems that the majority of those refusing the COVID vaccine seem to be Republicans, there are 10s of millions of Republicans who have opted to take the vaccine. This should not be viewed as a Democrat or Republican issue in my opinion.
Why would party affiliation determine one's likelihood to either get or not get the vaccine? Originally Posted by SpeedRacerXXX

Trump took the vaccine as soon as his doctors recommended it, and his administration implemented Operation Warp Speed, which put us miles ahead of most nations in terms of public health and our economy.

They may replace the USA anyway as the dominant economic and military power, but a larger population would make that happen quicker.

Yes

I don't think most commenting took the time to read the article. This person is being treated for a blood clotting disease, while it is a very small percentage, healthy people have reported some blood clotting issues as a side effect of the vaccine. It seems quite reasonable to think that with her blood clotting disease that getting the vaccine is higher risk for her than most people. Possibly higher than getting covid. This is why mandates shouldn't be applied.

Texassapper appears to believe this should be about compliance, not health, if he wants to tell that doctor who she must treat.

She contends she can't find another clinic to treat her condition. I don't buy that. Anchorage has 300,000 people and a number of hospitals.

For some, submitting to the vaxx is more important than treating the patients health.

The alternative to not mandating the shot... is not brownshirts storming the Dr.s office, but nice red herring there....

.... they don't want the vaccine. The "vaccines" have not been approved for public consumption by the FDA. So, it is noteworthy that "Blacks and lower income people" are smarter than you!

They learned to question the government during the immediate past administration, particularly after the current administration told them the vaccine wasn't safe, because Trump said it was.

As your primary care physician how many scientific studies he/she has reviewed in which the vaccines are being tested on animals and humans with the results logged into the reports for the FDA to review in the approval process. The should be attached to the patent documents filed with them ... if they exist. Originally Posted by LexusLover

Why aren't blacks getting the vaccine at the same rate as whites?

"But experts say the narrative that Black people, and communities of color more widely, are more vaccine hesitant, may not be the whole story. Instead, they argue, lack of access to vaccines and structural barriers are also hurting vaccination rates in these communities. There's a risk to perpetuating that single-story narrative, they say. Overemphasizing hesitancy diverts attention away from policies that could fix those access problems and hinders the U.S. vaccine distribution strategy at large.

"We had been hearing that vaccine hesitancy was a barrier to getting minorities, specifically Black and Latino communities vaccinated," said Dr. Jorge Caballero, a clinical instructor at Stanford Medicine and co-founder of the group Coders Against COVID. "The more data that we have, the less that assertion is actually supported.""

The doctor responsible for doing the test studies for the Pfizer vaccine in our area analyzes input virtually every day on the effectiveness of their vaccine. I fill out a diary on a weekly basis indicating any changes in my health status, as do approximately 43,000 other study participants nationwide or worldwide. The doctor is available almost around the clock if emergencies arise.

3 of the 4 links you supplied were not working but I will respond to your remarks.

Yes, many Democrats and non-Democrats thought Trump was pushing too fast at the beginning. He stated a vaccine could be available in October 2020 which was ridiculously optimistic. As part of Pfizer's study group, I did not receive my 2nd shot until mid-September. Pfizer did not seek emergency approval of their vaccine until December 10. The CDC estimated a vaccine to be available in either November or December in very limited supply. Trump's statement that 100 million doses of a vaccine would be available by the end of 2020 was also very inaccurate.

I don't condemn Trump for his statements which turned out to be optimistic. He was in the middle of a presidential race and realized the COVID-19 pandemic was on the minds of voters. A vaccine was given conditional approval by the FDA in December, still quiite an achievement.
