The clubs all went out of business back in the 80's (only about 4 or 5) and they were run by the Biloxi mafia, so when they went out, so did the clubs and the city was making any $$ off them, they had protection. Same with adult video/bookstores. Most of the clubs were sleazy. Horseshoe has never been classy/decent. Girls nothing to brag about. The churches, casinos had a lot to do with stopping new ones from opening. You have to go to Mobile or Pensacola for a quality club. Not sure how good those are. I haven't been in one since right after Katrina. Sammy's in Mobile was top notch, but they closed for some reason (not enough kickbacks) or girls caught selling, who knows.
