a couple points
1. the people who push laws like this are usually the biggest hypocrites on the subject. you end up finding out they cheat on their wives, have banged hookers, and etc etc.
2. in no way is it politically smart to oppose these types of laws.. if a bill comes up and you vote against it your opponent will hammer you. very few politicians can get away with opposing a bill like this so for anyone to expect otherwise is wishful thinking.
