CG thanks for posting vids. I have to admit I’m still a sucker the women’s hair styles in the 80’s. The big frizzy perms up top and trimmed down below. Originally Posted by FunMonday

#7: The Miami Vice.

I dressed like that in the mid 80's while going to singles nightclubs and strip clubs:

blue or peach or fuchsia shirt underneath a white jacket, white slacks, white shoes, Ray-Ban sunglasses.

My youth started to die when Glenn Fry passed away. I read in the above list Blondie is 74! I'm starting to feel my age. Originally Posted by winn dixie

The fact that he lived till 75 is remarkable. As you wrote CG, most of these musicians abuse their bodies a lot. You would think that they would all die in their twenties and thirties. Modern medicine, modern surgery, and the funds to pay for the best medical facilities are the reasons why they live so long despite all the self-abuse. Originally Posted by VeryClean

I would hate to go like he did.. the last 9 months basically hospitalized, with a series of physical failures, until he finally succumbed. he told his son almost 2 years before dying, that he didn't have much longer. he should have had a "do not resuscitate" clause in his Will, or something similar.

How many banged their girlfriend with Barry White music ......... on the record player.
If only the landing strip would come back. That was my favorite part of the 80’s and 90’s.

Keith Richards....
I read in his book - Life by Keith Richards that he has attended the funerals of 4 of his personal doctors.

He is also currently 75 years old. I can tell from recent performances that he has pretty bad arthritis and really doesn't play all that much. Most of these older acts have some young guns back in the wings doing all the real thrashing.
I don't really mind. Keith wrote it, he developed it, he owned it and he played his licks enough times.
It's funny that most of the famous musicians from the 70's are now in their 70s.
I heard a line from some movie the other day that the only person who wants to live to be 100 is a 99 year old.
