I don't think you can have a mentor or teacher when it comes to bedroom activities unless it is consistently with the same partner. In the hobby, I think it is all trial and error. Half the time (if not more) people are faking it (on both sides). Now having said that, I think anyone in the hobby can draw on past experiences and apply them to the situation at hand. And with everything in life, practice does make perfect, but with sex, you need constructive feedback and a willingness to "listen" to your partners verbal and non-verbal communication.
