Remember the Promise? You Can Keep Your Health Care?

Can you go as an individual into the insurance market, and get a better deal than what you have with most employer sponsored group plans?

Maybe if you are 23YO with no medical problems. Originally Posted by Submodo

And what about the millions of Americans that have to go out and buy healthcare on the open market or pay their tax? What deals are they going to get?

BTW, if it is a mandatory thingie now, and companies are providing it, why aren't those with company compensated insurance plans being taxed on said compensation? I thought Obama was for spreading the wealth around, or would taxing one's TRUE income upset his health care applecart?

So the fact that people aren't taxed on their company supplied benefits is a reason to attack Obama now?

What a tool you are.

I think now that it is mandated, and companies are opting for a tax vs the expense, now is a good time to add the bennies to the list of taxable income.

Yes, no one is better at calling names than me. Just read the posts. In fact, I invented name calling on this board. You got that right, Doofie.

So right in the middle of you being exposed for a gullible fool for the 2nd time in 2 months is when you get bored. How convenient.

You're a one trick pony
With regards to your Obama hatred, yup. But at least i admit it.

Me thinks your one trick pony is your unnatural fear of intelligent women with opinions not necessarily lezzie crushes.
Funny you should say that, given that back when i was actually naive enough to think you were smart, i liked you.

By the way, i'm noticing a tendency for you to seemingly need to heap praise on yourself. Why do you think that is?

I never said any such thing. Your language comprehension skills.....well, they suck.

All i said was that taking the idea that people aren't taxed for the benefits they receive through work as a reason to take a shot at Obama is, while par for the course with you, goofy nonetheless. But then, that brings us back to the one-trick-pony thingie, now, doesn't it?

No, I'm not digging on Obamacare about not taxing bennies; I'm digging on the unfairness of not taxing bennies in general. There is no reason at all that an employer's contributions to 401k's, medical insurance premiums, gyms, life insurance premiums, etc aren't taxed the same way as vacation pay, bonus pay and company cars are. I think it should have been part of the package particularly if people are now mandated to purchase something that in all likelihood will be inferior to the insurance they have now and / or inferior to say Exxon-type bennies of others. I only think it's fair.
