Poison Ivy Remedy that Actually Works
I grew up in the deep forested south. Poison Ivy/Sumac/Oak were a part of life. The most effective treatment for us was a strong mixture of clorox in the hottest water you could stand to soak the affected areas in. The heat opened up the pours of the skin, and the clorox apparently nuetralized the oil. Itching is relieved almost immediately. 3 times a day, two days, and the rash is all dried out, no itching, and fading from sight. All I know, is it worked.
