Totally agree. The Domain is like Downtown Disney or SA River Walk... way too over engineered.

Gimme the East side (Whisler, White Horse, Weather Up, Stay Gold, etc) or downtown (Roosevelt Room, Small Victory, Firehouse Lounge, Garage Bar, etc).

finally boats and eagle eye, some one said what I have been thinking. Personally I prefer south bars for real live music and old Austin vibe. I go east too but the good music is all south now. but hey let the folks who love the domain stay up there and out of the funky old bars I prefer.
