Bam is it fair other forums cannot have political threads but pitt can? Originally Posted by winn dixieFirst, every are of the country is different and what the locals like to discuss in their Sandbox varies from area to area
First, every are of the country is different and what the locals like to discuss in their Sandbox varies from area to areaWD should be the Chicago Ray of Eccie. We”ll call him Texas Dixie. He can get his boys together and boycott ECCIE. Mebbe the powers that be will succumb and make ECCIE fair again!!!!
Second, if you haven't noticed, there are not a lot of really active areas of the country on here outside Texas. Pittsburgh happens to be one of the active areas. There are a few others. Good businesses (and yes ECCIE is a business) don't typically chase off their customers
Third, other areas do discuss politics - just look at Upstate New York for example Originally Posted by berryberry

Wonder why that is.
I only care because I’m a sports nut. I like discussing sports and in Pittsburgh sports is a big thing. Problem here is it’s almost a waste to start a different sports topic because it will be shortly buried under the avalanche of posts by the heavy political posters. We just had a great Super Bowl. No discussion. Pitt hoops is doing well. No discussion.
Why not have a Pittsburgh political forum? Originally Posted by Charley3

... First of all - Winn has a right to his-own OPINION.Exactly. Nobodys holding a gun to your head to read anything. And don’t be lazy. I had to go thru 3 pages here to fing my Pirate thread. BFD. I found it and posted in it. Nobody else has since. I guess it doesn’t interest “sports nuts”. Everyone who has complained about political threads in this thread are frequent posters in political threads!!!!! Oh the humanity!!!!! Hypocrites much? People will bitch about air. There are far more lurkers on hooker boards than frequent posters. If it was a problem they would complain to the mods. Obviously they haven’t. They’re mature and smart enough to read what they want to read.
Secondly, I don't reckon it's a privilege JUST for the
Pittsburgh forum - might just be that some o' the other
areas DON'T fancy the political discussions.
... Me-own opinion is that it becomes a use/non-use issue.
If people don't fancy the discussion - they they won't comment.
OR they can just ignore some o' the threads if they wish.
Participation is VOLUNTARY... and as it surely should be.

Take your complaints straight to B1. If it’s sooo important to you. I’m sure WD will let you compose the PM. Or Mr Ninja. Yinz are so eloquent. Make your case big fella. See where it goes.
