As for your search engine problems , not an old timer , but if you search using a key word like pop ups in ( for this instance ) coed , questions for staff , and ML you will find results . Sometimes you have to choose the right upper or lower case . And sometimes you have to think of other keywords that might be associated with your search .
Chrome browser + Better Pop Up Blocker + ScriptNo = What popup??

When this popup CRAP started, I figured out how to work around it.

1. NEVER click directly on a link on the main page.
2. INSTEAD, RIGHT-CLICK on the link, to bring up the "Open in..." menu. Left-click on "Open in new tab" or "Open in new window".
3. NEVER click outside of a link on the main page, not even to bring focus to the main page.
4. INSTEAD, left-click on the main page icon in the TASKBAR, to bring focus to the main page. Now see items 1 and 2.

The above instructions appear to work for me in Google Chrome to avoid the popups completely. I don't know how well they will work for Microsoft Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox, as I don't use them any more.

Not sure how enthusiastic the owners would be about some geek here informing other people on how to configure their browser to avoid this particular revenue generator, but the information is out there.

Lest anyone get the wrong impression, I consider myself somewhat of a geek. Apprentice Geek sounds about right.
