My wife sells homemade jewelry. She uses a card reader from intuit. Her clients love it, shows up as you want it to. Not PayPal. Actually pretty nice rate. When I do go with her to shows people amazed and yes want to use it instead of cash. I believe it would help your business as you would get extra time on spur of the moment. How many hobbyists carry extra cash with them.

I am one that only carries cash. Don't think I ever asked to extend time..I'm a one and done three minute shot clock kinda guy. I have been upsold at appointment but usually have a little extra for tips that will get me some when the little head does my thinking during an upsell experience
Once you get the whole pay pal thing down, it's really easy to do. It's like a 2 minute process to transfer money.
However, as mentioned, it does take a couple days to actually end up in ones account. Nothing beats cold hard cash!!

I would use it, as it would just look like any other paypal transaction on my records. I'm not sure if I would with a provider I didnt know though.
I have been using the Square app with great success. I just received the Paypal one, but as yet have not had chance to try it out.

Its a service you can offer for those who would be comfortable with it. But I would think that in most cases, cash works best.
