Any one else notice that several of the Palace Inns have changed their name? I have seen several that have and I wonder if they still have the hourly rate. Three that I have noticed are as follows: Beltway 8, between 45 and 59, 59 at Beltway 8, and the one in Porter. I am sure there are others. Anyone know what the deal is? Funny you mentioned the Palace Inn on the Beltway as you head towards 59.

I was doing a photo shoot with a model in 1 of the 2 Jacuzzi rooms the day they changed from Palace to Luxury.

I have used that location for photo shoots because of the Jacuzzi rooms and the mirror set ups. Last time I was there you could still rent the rooms for a short term but when I rented the jacuzzi it was for 5-6 hours and set me back a C note.

My guess is they are trying to force people to rent for a minimum of 4 + hours or more so they tend to the room less between sessions.

best bet would be to call locations you like and get a price quote of the phone which will be a day rate then at a later time stop by and find out what the short term hourly rate is and for how many hours.

I would not be surprised if the new short term rate is about 70% of the full day rate and its just for 4 hours.
