Putin and the separatists

Not only that, many other things like climate accord withdrawal. He may have been down around 15 % favorable.

He also gave himself credit for saving Israel. And don't forget his N. Korea stunt. He was chummy with Putin. Sure glad he isn't in government now. Originally Posted by VitaMan

Oh, and those Russian soldiers we killed in Syria.

Helluva way to treat your buddy huh? Unless of course your narrative is pure BS, which it is.

And that climate accord is deader than a doorknob. Even the greenies in Germany know they need to ramp up LNG imports from the US and restart their mothballed nuclear power plants if they want to escape Putin's energy blackmail.

If you think anyone cares about obama's toothless climate pact (which has no enforcement mechanisms and lets China and India emit more & more carbon) then I suggest you visit Kyev and take a poll asking how many Ukrainians are worried about climate change right now.

Here's a relevant thread I started recently. Read it. You need a fucking reality check:

Putin is betting in 2022 Ukraine won't oppose him when he annexes the two eastern regions of Ukraine... Originally Posted by The_Waco_Kid

Here is a NYT story from 8 years ago. Putin mentioned the 2014 Odessa fire that killed 42 pro-Russian separatists in his speech today:

"The conflict is hardening hearts on both sides. As the building burned, Ukrainian activists sang the Ukrainian national anthem, witnesses on both sides said. They also hurled a new taunt: “Colorado” for the Colorado potato beetle, striped red and black like the pro-Russian ribbons. Those outside chanted “burn Colorado, burn,” witnesses said. Swastikalike symbols were spray painted on the building, along with graffiti reading “Galician SS,” though it was unclear when it had appeared, or who had painted it.

“The biggest thing they ever did to make me hate this country was sing the anthem,” Mr. Milteynus said. “I was going to die, and they sang the anthem. I hate them deeply.”

Putin likes to annex different parts of Ukraine, but only when democrats are in office.
Hopefully this thread will stay on track. To tamp down the previous post, Trumps standing among other world leaders was incredibly low. Originally Posted by VitaMan

Putin must be into numerology like many despots. Today at 2:22 local time, on a Tuesday, on the date of 02/22/22 the Russian army started moving into Ukraine. 2/2/2/2/22/22/Tuesday

Biden and Trudeau both announced a press conference and an announcement today at 2:22 EST and 2:22 CST respectively.

Btw - I'm not in eastern Europe. I'm right here in the good ol' USA. But I'm pretty sure Ukraine is in eastern Europe though. Isn't that what this thread is about? So maybe my mentioning how well Trump actually polled in eastern Europe was more on topic than your vague and unsubstantiated opinions, ya think?

it appears Russia gets a free pass into the disputed area controlled by these separatists. then what does Putin do? move past the area controlled by the Pro-Russia separatists to claim the entire Donetsk and Luhansk regions? and does Ukraine let them or not?

To clarify the area you discuss is eastern Europe. Trump was a disaster at NATO meetings. His trip to North Korea was nothing more than a stunt to try and get a Nobel peace prize. It was a photo op for Lil Kim.

strange that Russia as large as it is, the largest nation on the planet, really only has one major industry it seems, oil. don't have time at the moment to research it but i'm pretty sure the US has far more export industries than them drunk Russies.
