Give me the best seafood restaurant recommendations!

Dallas and I dined at Ruth's Chris Steak house and it was fantastic. There is a steak house in the stockyards in Fort Worth but the name escapes me. Dallas will be in town later this month and I hope she will have time for me.
Okay okay I'll try the steak. LOL.

I think both Remington's and Chamberlain's are overpriced and overrated. Mediocre food at top end prices.

I do think that Oceanaire is quite good, and right at the Galleria.

A place that is a bit of a trek, and has great fish and other items, is Abacus. I'd rate it among the top two places to eat in Dallas. If you go, be sure to get the Lobster Shooters! Kent Rathbun, the owner/chef, won on his showing of Iron Chef America.

A place that is quite unassuming, but has excellent seafood is Sea Breeze Fish Market and Grill. They've recently expanded, but the quality is as good as ever. They sell fresh seafood from a case, as well as a full restaurant.

Let me know if you need more ideas. I'm getting hungry now!
I love seafood, fish or shellfish, it's all good to me. My favorite in Dallas is McCormick & Schmick's at Northpark, http://www.mccormickandschmicks.com/...arkCenter.aspx

The Oceanaire is the good too, http://www.theoceanaire.com/Location...s/OurMenu.aspx

I've always been a fan of either halibut or salmon but lately I've branched out to other fish like Grouper and Sea Bass. It's making me hungry thinking about it.
Lefty's and TruLuck's.

Agree with Tigger, the McCormick and Schmick's at NorthPark is top notch.

Pappadeaux is as close to New Orleans style seafood as you'll get in Dallas. I wouldn't classify it as Cajun cuisine as much as Creole. Very good, though.

Personally, I don't each much seafood in Dallas given that nothing is fresh and everything is frozen for obvious reasons.
Agree with Bestman, Chamberlain's Fish Market is my fav in Dallas.
You can go there during lunch and its not crazy expensive.
Have fun!

Oceanaire and Trulucks are both by/in Addison and very good.
If you want a little Cajun head to Nates on Midway/Beltline in Addison.

Oceanaire is the best place if you're wedded to staying near the Galeria. They do most things reasonably well and the seafood has been very fresh every time that I've been there. Most items they can do one of several ways, all fairly basic, which I prefer with seafood.

I slightly prefer McCormick & Smick's, but it's at Northpark. But pretty much the same sort of place. M&S has a slightly more traditional vibe, but the quality is slightly better on most days at M&S than Oceanaire, I've found. But very close.

Although it is a notch more down market, Pappadeaux isn't bad. Cajun style, but not as good as Ocianaire or M&S, IMHO. But for the cajun vibe, it's OK.

If you prefer traditional Gulf Coast style seafood (instead of cajun), I highly recommend S&D Oyster Co. on McKinney. No where near the Galeria, but very good fried and grilled fish (Redfish, trout, and grouper), very good gumbo, and very good gulf oysters.

Kenny's Wood fired Grill on Belt Lin and the Toll Rd has a great mix of sea food options - in fact. pretty much everything on their lunch and dinner menu is top notch and on par with the better spots in NYC and Boston
If you're staying near the Galleria Go Fish is pretty good, at Alpha and Noel. If you want some great Japanese food, check out Masami at Beltline and 75. And also *psst*, head down the Tollway at Frankford and go where the Japanese go, Sushi Robata.
