Music that turns you on?

Frankly, although I'm a big fan of music, I prefer silence.

But if I had to pick, I'd go for older soul.

The first song that came to my mind has already been mentioned -- "Let's Get it On."

Also, Barry White, "Can't Get Enough of Your Love." Al Green, "Let's Stay Together."

And for a bit or irony for those of us who are quick on the draw, Billy Ward & The Dominoes "Sixty Minute Man!"

Toni Braxton, Sade, Barbara Streisand, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble, Chris Botti, Marvin Gaye, Josh Groban, Andrea Bocelli and this one is kinda weird but I love fucking to Tracy Chapman's first album, love her song 'Fast Car' and 'Baby Can I Hold You'...

And let's not forget K.C. and the Sunshine Bands Greatest Hits...

That's the way, uh huh uh huh,
I like it, uh huh uh huh,
That's the way, uh huh uh huh,
I like it.
Do a little dance, make a little love,
Get down tonight, oh get down tonight.

Take it off, baby, take it all, off
I want you the way you came into the world
I don't wanna feel no clothes, I don't wanna see no panties
And take off that brassiere, my dear, everybody's gone
Take the receiver off the phone because baby you and me
This night, we're gonna get it on, to love Serenade

You know I get in these moods, well you know how it is
And I'm very glad to know that you feel the same way too
Baby we're gonna lay here and we're gonna make love
And we're gonna do it like it's supposed to be done
Heaven only knows what goes on behind closed doors
The very depths of our souls will reach out tonight
You and me, baby, love serenade, oh baby, oh baby

Make me want you, tempt me, tempt me, tempt me
Make me need you, let me long for you
You'll know what it's like when a man and woman becomes one
And the only real way you can do that baby
Is when we're makin' love to each other
When you reach that, that super feeling
When you're makin' love it's, it's like you're in another world
Help me, help me, oh baby help me
Lord have mercy on me

Oh hell yes to Barry White! My personal fave is Erykah Badu. Her voice is so sexy.

This is one I always listen to while I'm getting ready to go out bc it totally sets the mood:

And this is one of my all time faves from an indie flick called the Pillow Book (one of Ewan McGregor's first movies) - very sexy movie too and this is the sexiest song I have ever ever heard:

Old school soul for me. Danny Hathaway, Roberta Flack, Ann Peebles...the list goes on, and oh so much better than what passes for R&B today. Originally Posted by TinMan

Here is a real oldie....Serge Gainsbourg's "Je T'aime...moi non plus". Orginally written for and recorded with Brigit Bardot in 1967. But Bardot's husband got pissed and she asked Gainsbourg not to release it. He re-recorded it with English actress Jane Birkin a year later. He was 41 and she was 21. She was his mistress at the time. Song was banned from sales a quite a few countries and banned from radio in the US. The question always was and will be.......Were they or weren't they?

The Bardot version was finally released in 1986.....even Madonna covered it in a Paris stadium concert a few years back.....

The Birkin version is still the best.
