If healthcare were set up the way the liberals insist on education remaining to be set up, we would all have to go to under performing local public hospitals - get it? Instead, everyone including poor people, get "vouchers" in the form of Medicaid, old people get Medicare, and I/we can get it for free but don't have to put up with the fucking teachers unions/hospital unions and heavy handed liberal bureaucrats. Competition is good for consumers, bad for liberal unions.
Hospital are stuck taking everyone for free, but some are good hospitals, even in the inner city. They, like good inner city schools, could take vouchers because they outperform. Are you liberals afraid of competition, and loss of power? You really just like the political control of schools, don't you?
Doctors can opt out, much the way Beverly Hills private schools opt out.
