The only cure for a broken heart is perspective.

Living well helps to create perspective. At least for me!

Oh Austinkboy....there is no cure for the broken heart.
its kinda like a cold..there stuff you can do and stuff you can take that will make some of the effects less noticeable but in the end..you just have to let it run its course.
And I love meaningless sex just as much as the next gal,but when your hurting,FRIENDS help immensely.
Spend lots of time with your friend. They need you.
Much Love!!

Dude, I feel your pain. Just find something to occupy your time with. If not you'll end up wallowing in your own filth... Been there before and going through it again... All the best for you man!

Kboy did you fall in love with one of the ladies here? You know they'll break your heart!!! Been there, done that, still have the scars!!!
Kboy, maybe my friend and your friend should hang out. She just got her heart broken to pieces too! Wanna go have a drink and get some lap dances? These are the times you need your atf's attention and nurturing
Chocolate and great books seem to help too. I just bought three!

My "friend" thanks you for great suggestions and insight. The overwhelming popular answer seems to be "if you want to get over someone, get under someone else" aka Grudge Fuck. Maybe my friend will settle for a "sympathy" fuck since he may not muster up a grudge. I think harkotume is probably right, at least on his first point, need time. I don't know about his second solution, though.

Well, at least we managed not get off topic on this thread. Even Nuglet wanted a "Grude" Fuck, coming real close to Whispers' answer of Grudge Fuck. I like Amelia's analogy of a broken heart to a cold. You can treat the symptoms but there is no cure. Britney, tempting offer to go commiserate, but sounds like it might end up prolonging the feeling of loss.

I think my friend will survive and endure, what choice do you have? Any more insight continues to be appreciated.
