Contact Master Baiter...that's his handle. He can give you more details/suggestions.
There are tons of awesome lakes in the area to fish. What are you wanting to fish for? Instead of renting a boat just hire a guide for the day. The cost would be about the same and you have someone that knows the lake and can put you on fish. But if you rent a boat be careful the lakes are low and stumps that used to be no concern are now just a few inches under the water.
Yeah...unfortunately my stump is just a few inches...sheeze I am concerned! Lake Fork is the increadible.

Thanks for the replies I will do some looking. Gonna keep the lobbying and fishing separate. Originally Posted by spear88

Largemouth Bass - Hire a guide and haul ass to Lake Fork !! What, an hour east of Dallas.

Crappie, and this is Crappie season baby - Lake Lavon if the water level ain't too low, 20 minutes NE of Dallas.

Catfish - Lake Tawakoni east of Dallas

Stripers - Lake Texoma on the border of Okieland and Texas, hour north up Hwy 75

Partying, get drunk, meeting loose women, and DROWNING - Lake Lewisville 15 minutes North of Dallas, but the partying and DROWNING doesn't start for a couple of months.

Contaminated fish that ARE dangerous to your health - Anything in our lovely Trinity River, that we built this beautiful bridge to slum land over (see Margaret Hunt Bridge). I wouldn't even piss in this river, it's unworthy of my Golden Urine.

All other area lakes are decent for just about anything, except I have never caught much of anything at Richland Chambers.
