I usually just need help falling asleep. My doctor gives me 1mg xanax to take.
But I hear those can be hard to get. He won't give me ambien, and I'm afraid of the sleep walking that might happen.
Is there some particular reason that you don't just explain the situation to your family doctor and get him/her to write a prescription? I have one, and if you buy the generic with insurance or the GoodRx app it's relatively cheap. I split the 10mg pill in half and that's usually enough for me.+1
I haven't experienced any particular bad side effects from it, except that sometimes I don't feel well-rested in the morning. For that reason, I'm trying to use it less. I don't personally find it particularly habit forming, but the trap you can fall into is taking it every night before bed whether you really need it or not. Try not to do that. Just like Eliquis is the brand name, apixaban is the generic name.
Get thee to a Primary Vare Physician. Not having a regular doc is nuts. I have a relative who had good insurance and "didn't like going to the doctor". Refused well doc visits, and went to doc in the boxes when sick. Looked up recently and had foot pain. Doc asked "Are you diabetic?" He says, "No." Doc says, "Are you sure? You have an ulcer the size of a peach on your foot." A1C is sky high. Ends up on IV Vancomycin. Doesn't work. Has his leg amputated and is now fighting post op infections that could well turn into sepsis and kill him. Originally Posted by TexTushHogthat went south real quick.
