At least we've been given 2500 message limit now. That at least is the same as the gentlemen on the site. Of course I don't expect Eccie to remain the same after the transition although it would have been nice to have some kind of notice instead of waking up to surprise your mailbox has been drastically reduced.
I think we can all feel the ladies getting frustrated. If they quality ladies leave, the guys follow. I think some of the frustration is that the ladies will eventually have a "small monthly fee".
There is a perception that the ladies will soon be paying for something they enjoyed for free and getting less for it. Is this the truth, we really don't know. I know the admins had (and may still have) a lot of work getting everything back online. But it seems they are too busy to think about the "customer service" side of things.
I think we all want the site to succeed and the owners make as much $ as they can. But I also think the members, especially the ladies, want something of value for any $ they spend, and the things I am hearing that is currently not happening.
I think E would be well served giving the ladies a decent sized mailbox, making it easier to post their updates, and figuring out what it wants to do THEN make the changes. Deciding something, changing, affecting your customers in a negative way, changing again, and then advertising more changes are coming will not foster a happy client base.
The changes are meant to 1) protect the board in the new legal environment, 2) make sure the board can function under new administrative, operational, and functional constraints, and 3) help satisfy the needs and wants of the membership...in that order.
Fact is, needs and wants are going to play a backseat for a while until things are stable. If y’all can deal with that, then it’s much appreciated. If not, then continued membership here is always at your discretion, and that hasn’t changed at all.
Thanks.
Wakeup, we appreciate the clarification. Members here do need to realize that there are some people with a lot of liability on them and they are trying to figure things out.
I think what the ladies are saying is they get bits and pieces of information, and sometimes it's after the fact. I have 2500 messages I can use, if I go to 200 that's not a big deal for me. If I lady loses a PM everyone has a potential dollar sign or safety concern.
You are 1000% correct that we can leave if we choose. I hope what is being said is opening a dialog to prevent people from leaving over a hickup or minor issue. If the higher ups build a great house, but there is no one to live in it what have they accomplished? On the flip side we need to expect growing pains while the house is being built.
I think if we as members can exercise some patience the efforts will be rewarded. But I think communication to the members will help us be patient. If we all work together I think we can arrive at a happy place.
I live with 100 mails combined as a non premium member . If I do a review/encounter then of course I can get premium for free but I'd still be a freebie . I've had premium before and in the years I've been here Eccie has never made one penny off of me and I imagine most of the premium access user base is the same , upgraded freebie's . Eccie has to the pay the bills and make a little bread , otherwise why worry with it . I'm sure when they get it figured out they will pass on the details to us .
