I always have my slippers for when I take my heels off.
I used to stock multiple sizes of mens new slippers
so when the guy gets out of the shower he didn't have to walk on the bare floor.
I stocked standard sizes 9 10 11 and 12/13 but for some reason some of the guys didn't
wear them while In the hotel room. Mens slippers were all brand new.

I haven't had any problems. Oh, I do supervised showers so It's no just barely rinsing while standing In the shower. They will use the soap and use a wash towel to clean their crack and sack to my satisfaction!

OP, This from the "hygiene freak"....

So KEEP your socks on, contaminate them with whatever is on the carpet...then put your feet with the contaminated socks right back in your shoes...now your shoes have the same bugs as your socks, get in car, contaminate car with shoes....go home...put your feet with the socks on your home floor...now you just brought the bugs to your car AND home.

By "bugs", I don't necessarily mean moving creatures...more about bacteria, viruses, fungi and the like.

A few suggestions for the paranoid:

Take socks OFF when you undress....after the deed, wash your feet with SOAP and WATER , put socks AND shoes back on. Keep some LYSOL spray (or similar) in car...spray bottoms of shoes before you put feet in car. Regular soap and water will kill MOST things.

MORE PARANOID than THIS: Keep a bottle of Hibiclens/Chlorhexidine with you and wash feet with this in place of regular soap and water. Keep a clean flat sheet (twin size is fine) with you to throw on the bed.
They are only about $5 at Walmart. Throw this away when done with deed or leave for the next guy. (smile)

Hotel BEDSPREADS are more of a concern to me. I work from a private residence with a washer/dryer...I have a few blankets that I cover my bed with...just throw in washing machine when done.

Other suggestions....
1.) Buy some surgical shoe covers (medical supply) or same thing from Home Depot/Lowes in the paint supplies department....cover socks with these...discard and put shoes back on.

2.) Buy cheap socks and wear 2 pair, leave them ON during the deed...then take off the top pair and discard.
You will STILL need to spray your shoes (especially the soles) with a disinfectant spray.
